Learning doesnt require a school

Just as being religious or spiritual, doesnt require being inside a church, I believe that learning doesnt require a school. Quite a bit of what I know is self taught, personally and professionally. While schools obviously have their place, the theory that you can only learn while at a school is often used to marginalize people who have the ability and desire to seek out knowledge. Life is a constant oppurtunity for learning if you avail yourself of it and many self taught people that I know are vastly more intelligent than others I know with degrees. The act of earning a degree doesnt make you smart, it only provides proof of attendance at a school, walking through this world and drinking up what it offers is what makes people truly intelligent.
